Roundabout
This is the French term for the section of a stage in a race, in which the support staff – also known as soigneures – of the various teams are allowed to distribute catering packs (in cotton bags) containing food and drinks to the individual riders. Outside this catering zone, riders are also able to obtain provisions from their team cars up until 20 kilometres before the race finish, from which time on this is forbidden.
