Two of the oldest, most-famous cycling classics in the professional calendar and two of the five monuments of professional cycling (alongside Milan-San Remo, Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix). “LBL” is the oldest classic of them all – “La Doyenne” (“The Eldest”) has taken place in Belgium since 1892, while the Tour of Lombardy was first held in Italy in 1905.
