Bidon
Bunch sprint
The French word for the drinks bottles carried in the bike frame mounted bottle holders, made of plastic (or aluminium). Team helpers are, therefore, called water carriers as they allow themselves to fall back to the team car during the race and take on lots of Bidons that they the stuff into their jersey, to hand out to their captains during the race. During the Tour de France empty Bidons that have been thrown away are a much sought-after souvenir.
