It hosts some of the most important races like the Tour de France, Paris – Niece, Paris – Roubaix or Liège – Bastogne – Liège. The A.S.O. was founded in 1992 and belongs to the French press group E.P.A., including newspapers and magazines like L’Equipe or the Vélo Magazine. Apart from cycle races, the A.S.O. also organises big sport events like the Rallye Dakar or the Paris Marathon.
