The organisation was founded in June 2006 by 17 professional teams. The IPCT’s goals are to further the collaboration between the teams and between the teams and organisators like the UCI, AIGCP and CPA, to take part in the decisions concerning international cycling and to represent the teams’ interests. The following teams are members of the IPCT: Team MILRAM, Team T-Mobile, Gerolsteiner, AG2R, Bouygues Telecom, Crédit Agricole, Team CSC, Caisse d’Epargne, Cofidis, Discovery Channel, Euskatel, Lampre, Liquigas, Predictor-Lotto, Quick Step Rabobank and Sauneir Duval.
