ProTour:
The ProTour is the highest category. It includes the 27 most important races – tours as well as one-day races – of international cycling. In the races from March to October, 20 licensed teams fight for the individual classification, team classification and national classification.

2.HC:
The category 2.HC is the highest class of tours not belonging to the ProTour. Usually, a very strong peloton participates at these races.

2.1:
The category 2.1 is the next lower class of tours. Here, usually more Professional-Continental teams and Continental teams take part than ProTour teams.

1.HC:
The category 1.HC includes prestigious one-day races not belonging to the ProTour, like Rund um den Henninger Turm or Het Volk.

1.1:
The category 1.1 includes one-day races which are exciting due to the fight between ProTour riders and non ProTour riders.
