Jake Byrd from Kernersville, USA, asks the Team MILRAM sprinters: what sort of training would you reccomend for a junior racer who may want to sort of specialize in sprinting? Are there any specific workouts that I may want to try?
In order to improve your sprinting capacities, interval-training is very good. With this mode of exercise you can do a lot for your quickness and liveliness. Interval-training means that during a training ride some parts of the course are done in sprint. For example there is the so-called „signpost-training“. Here, you orientate yourself by means of signs along the street. These are used as boundaries for the distance to sprint. Signposts are always good finish lines, therefore the name.
