Alessandro Petacchi leads MILRAM in Vuelta a Andalucia

The German ProTour Team MILRAM will participate in two stage races in Spain and Italy as of this coming weekend. On Sunday, a team will start in Spain, with sprinting star Alessandro Petacchi, who, in his first apperance this season, won his hometown race GP Costa degli Etruschi for the fourth time in a row. At the 54th edition of the Vuelta a Andalucia (17 – 21.02/ UCI 2.1), the 34 year-old Italian will be able to count on a strong team which includes his landsmen Marco Velo and Alberto Ongarato, as well as the Spanish former World Champion Igor Astarloa. The only German MILRAM rider at the five-day tour is Christian Knees.
